| INSTRUMENT
OPERATION: AERMI instrument is AC resistivity
meter. This is portable and works on DC batteries.
Rechargable type 10 AHr rating maintenance free battery
( 6 volts ) is located inside of instrument accessible
from bottom end on removing bottom plate.
The DC power is converted to AC by convertor to 100
Vac for testing. This is applied through P1 and P4 probes.
Intermediate probes: P2 / P3 probes connected in between
P1 - P4 line measure the potential induced by the current
also flows through the internal calibrated R-OHM Pot
( 0 - 10.00 ). Internal Electronic Circuit measures
the potential across the R-OHM pot and P2 - P3 probes,
subtracts it and the difference is displayed on dial
The value of Resistance between P2 - P3 is accurately
found by adjusting R-OHM pot till get 0-balance condition
in instrument. |
